Dr. Olivia Burkett

Dr. Olivia Burkett is an Associate Professor of Psychology at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. Dr. Burkett has been a fixture at the campus for more than 20 years. Dr. Burkett’s research and passion focuses on Autism Spectrum Disorder and Treatment Acceptability. Dr. Burkett has a keen interest in the research of autism around the world.

Before her tenure at William Carey University, Dr. Burkett served as a Mississippi Department of Mental Health Clinician at Ellisville State School in Ellisville, MS.

Dr. Burkett earned her doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a member of the Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England.

Dr. Burkett is a licensed and ordained minister and president of the International Wayfarers Auxiliary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
